Dry point Workshop
4.00pm – 6.00pm / The People’s Pavilion
This workshop explores the possibilities of print through the process of dry point. This is a wonderful introduction to printmaking where you learn to design, engrave and ink an image to create an edition of prints. Free, booking required. Book tickets here.
Outdoor Yoga

Enjoy listening to DJ Nigel Wood’s contemporary World Music collection, in the scenic architectural setting of the IMMA Courtyard. Visit an ambitious exhibition called The Narrow Gate of the Here-and-Now that showcases the IMMA Collection and the history of the Museum since 1991. Also open is the compelling exhibition Xenogenesis by The Otolith Group, addressing contemporary social and planetary issues and Kind Words Can Never Die, a new site-specific installation by Navine G. Dossos in the IMMA Courtyard.
Heritage Tour of Bully’s Acre
6.30pm / IMMA Site
Join historian and author Paul O’Brien as he tells the story of this little know graveyard in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham. He will take you on a unique tour of the (almost) last resting place of Robert Emmet and generations of Dubliners. This is a story of religion, grave robbing, poverty and sickness and is a must for all interested in the history of Dublin itself. Meeting point: The tour group will leave the IMMA Courtyard at 6.15pm. Final admittance is at 6.30pm sharp at the West Arch of the Courtyard. Free, booking required. Book here.
Live performance of European Dream by Nigel Rolfe
7.00 – 8.00pm / Front Lawn
This is a unique opportunity to experience first-hand a live performance of European Dream by artist Nigel Rolfe. In this work the artist recalls a previously all-embracing vision for Europe which in 2022, the year the work was purchased by IMMA, may be seen as prophetic as we experience a European reality in which cohesion and unity are ever more challenged and global forces are unpredictable in this new pandemic world. Night Shift by Liliane Puthod
10.00pm – 2.00am / IMMA Grounds
An outdoor journey through the dreamy landscapes of IMMA, Night Shift is a late night event challenging our circadian rhythm and our common experience of visiting an exhibition. This slow experience of touring the grounds in a land train brings participants through the landscape where sited histories and Collection works will be framed by some eerie interventions along the way. This project is in support of the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media Night-Time Economy programme. This is a book-in event with a 30 minutes duration.
